I was a professional footballer and am a student at UC Berkeley — and I founded One More Friend for one simple reason: to give you a trip that's more fun, more personal, and more authentic than anything you'd find on your own or on a typical bus or group tour.
My path has been covered by Japanese national media: I played in Japan's famous All-Japan High School Soccer Championship, helping my high school reach the national semifinals, then earned admission to UC Berkeley, where I was honored with the Academic All-District award for excelling in both academics and athletics. From there, I signed a professional contract in Germany.

One More Friend is a private guiding and trip-planning service operated by Shoei Honda, based in Tokyo, Japan ("we", "us", "our").
We act as your local guide, companion, and trip planner. We are not a travel agent — we do not sell or resell transportation or accommodation. When you visit restaurants, venues, or activities, or use transport, you contract directly with those providers and pay them yourself.
Full payment is required to confirm your booking: a booking is confirmed only once we confirm it in writing and payment is received. Prices are set in US dollars; amounts shown in other currencies are approximate and your card is charged in USD. Card payments are handled by a secure third-party processor; we do not store your full card details.
During tours you are responsible for your own food, drinks, entrance fees, transport, and personal expenses, unless we state otherwise in writing.
You agree to follow local laws, venue rules, and your guide's reasonable safety instructions. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own conduct. We may pause or end a tour without a refund if behavior is illegal, unsafe, abusive, or disruptive to others.
The legal drinking age in Japan is 20. Nightlife, bar, and club portions are available only to guests aged 20 and over, and you may be asked to show ID. We encourage responsible drinking; you drink at your own discretion and risk, and we may decline or end service in cases of intoxication or unsafe behavior, without a refund.
Please tell us in advance about any medical conditions, allergies, dietary needs, mobility needs, or other requirements so we can plan safely. You are responsible for ensuring you are fit to take part.
We may adjust the itinerary, timing, or venues for reasons such as weather, safety, closures, or availability, while keeping the spirit of your plan.
We take reasonable care to deliver a safe, enjoyable experience. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected tour. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or services of third parties (restaurants, venues, transport), for events beyond our reasonable control, or for loss arising from your own actions. We strongly recommend you hold your own travel insurance.
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation Policy, and your personal information by our Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and disputes fall under the courts having jurisdiction in Tokyo, Japan.

Where we have already paid non-refundable costs to third parties on your behalf (for example, a non-refundable reservation or ticket), those amounts may be deducted from your refund. We will always tell you first.

This policy explains how One More Friend (operated by Shoei Honda) collects and uses your personal information. We handle personal data in line with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), and, for visitors in the EU/UK, the GDPR.
Your name and contact details (email, WhatsApp / Instagram / LINE); your trip details and preferences (dates, group size, interests, dietary or accessibility needs); messages you send us; and payment information, which is processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers.
To plan and deliver your tour, communicate with you, take bookings and payment, keep records, and meet legal obligations. For EU/UK visitors, our legal bases are performing our contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate interest in running the service.
We share only what's necessary to arrange your experience — for example, a restaurant may receive a reservation name and party size, and payments go through our payment processor. We never sell your personal data.
We keep your data only as long as needed for your trip, our records, and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize it. We use limited storage in your browser only to remember your language and currency preferences — not to track you across other sites.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to stop using it. Email onemorefriend@gmail.com and we'll respond.
As we serve guests worldwide, your data may be handled in Japan; we take care to protect it wherever it is processed.
